The Open Source Experts
full-service open source library services provider

Welcome, Mary!

November 6th, 2014 by

It is with great pleasure that we announce yet another new member of the Equinox team!  Please join us in welcoming Mary Jinglewski, our new Training Services Librarian.  In this role, she will be training librarians on all the ins and outs of Evergreen and Koha.  Training is one of the most important services we provide here at Equinox.  We couldn’t be more thrilled to have someone with Mary’s experience and enthusiasm on board.

A native of Georgia, Mary completed her undergraduate studies in Computer Science with a Business minor at Berry College.  She then went on to get her MLIS at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.  She’s been a fan of open source software and Evergreen for a long time.  Mary has worked with several libraries and institutions including Smithsonian Libraries, UBC Museum of Anthropology, and the BC Libraries Cooperative .  In her spare time, she volunteers as a community rep for the Digital Public Library of America.

Angela Kilsdonk, Equinox Education Manager, had this to say about Mary, “Mary’s experience with Evergreen and enthusiasm for open source software are a great addition to the Education Department and the Equinox team.  I’m looking forward to working with Mary to expand our training services.”

When she’s not championing for open source and open data, Mary enjoys contra dancing and following hockey.  (“Go Canucks!”)  You can also find her tweeting about the latest in library news and open source on Twitter (@mjingle).
