FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Duluth, GA–August 26, 2014

Ringtown Area Library and Frackville Free Public Library have become the latest additions to the Pennsylvania Integrated Library System (PaILS) cooperative.  Both Frackville and Ringtown are located in Schuylkill County, PA and between them they provide almost 32,000 items and serve over 2,300 patrons. PaILS and its SPARK consortium have been using Equinox for hosting and support since 2013.

Elaine Mykolayko, the Director of the Frackville Free Public Library said: “The OPAC looks great, and the staff is enjoying the new experience. I am very happy with our decision to move to SPARK.”

Tim Faile, Equinox Library Data Specialist added:  “It has been a pleasure to work with Elaine Mykolayko (Frackville Free Public Library) and Tanya Savitsky (Ringtown Area Library) during the recent migration to the ever-growing Spark implementation of the open source Evergreen system.  As a librarian, I always love to see libraries regain control of their data from closed, proprietary systems; moreover, as a data analyst, it is most gratifying to see them satisfied with their Evergreen experience.”
