FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Duluth, GA–July 21, 2014
Kent County Public Library has become the first library system to move to Equinox’s new Sequoia service platform. Equinox has hosted Kent for six years, making them the natural choice for Sequoia’s maiden voyage. Kent County Public Library is composed of 3 locations serving 14,000 patrons with 50,000 items.
Andrea Buntz Neiman, Librarian II, Public Services, says “We’re so happy to be able to take advantage of the Sequoia Platform, allowing ESI to quickly and seamlessly apply patches and upgrades to our system. As a small public library, it’s great to know we’re in such good hands and can continually offer our patrons access to the latest version of Evergreen.”
Mike Rylander, Equinox Director of Development of Technology, comments “I am very proud of our six year relationship with Kent, and so excited to have them on the Sequoia Service Platform. They may be one of the smallest public libraries using Evergreen, but now on Sequoia they can be sure to benefit immediately from the hundreds of improvements Equinox makes annually to the software they depend on every day.”
